About Conference

This conference intends to present the Hot topics in Astrophysics, from Planetary Systems to Cosmology with open questions both for theoreticians, and for observers.  It  is intended for PhD Students, Post-Docs, or Senior astronomers. Last year’s Master students, with a good background in astrophysics or optical engineering can be selected too. The topics of the meeting are primarily the astrophysics and astrodynamics of the solar system bodies, stars and galaxies.

The Sub-Regional European Astronomical Committee (SREAC) was established in May 2004 in Bucharest within the framework of the UNESCO “Enhancing astronomical research and observation in South-East Europe and Ukraine” project with as a main objective to elaborate and implement a sub-regional strategy for the development of astronomy in South East Europe and Ukraine.

From the Statute of the Sub-regional European Astronomical Committee: “The main objective of SREAC is to elaborate and implement a sub-regional strategy for the development of astronomy in South-East Europe and Ukraine and to strengthen astronomical co-operation in the sub-region, and between the region and countries outside.”
